Island Flo B.V. (“Island Flo”, “Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a vehicle rental company operating in Curaçao. These Terms govern all rental agreements and services. By making a reservation or renting a vehicle, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility Requirements
- Be at least 23 years old.
- Hold a valid physical driver’s license for at least two years.
- Present valid identification (passport or ID).
- Provide a valid payment method.
Island Flo reserves the right to refuse service if requirements are not met.
2. Reservations & Booking
- Reservations can be made online, by phone, or in person.
- A booking is confirmed only after written confirmation.
- Prices are subject to availability and change without notice.
- A minimum rental period of three days may apply.
3. Payment & Security Deposit
A security deposit starting from USD $250 is required at the start of the rental. It may be provided as a credit-card authorization hold (preferred) or an approved cash payment.
For credit-card deposits, the card must be in the main driver’s name and physically presented. Digital wallets, screenshots, prepaid cards, and virtual cards are not accepted. Cash deposits are held for the rental and refunded when the vehicle is returned in acceptable condition and no damages, fines, or additional charges apply. The full rental amount is charged at the end of the rental period. Failure to provide a valid deposit may result in cancellation without refund.
4. Cancellations & No-Shows
Cancellations are free if made before the rental start time. No-shows may be charged up to one rental day. Applicable refunds are processed within a reasonable timeframe.
5. Use of the Vehicle
The vehicle may be driven only by authorized drivers and must be used in accordance with all traffic laws. It may not be used for illegal activities, driving under the influence, racing, reckless driving, unapproved off-road use, or commercial use without permission.
6. Vehicle Condition & Return
The renter must inspect the vehicle and report damage at pickup. The vehicle must be returned on time, with the agreed fuel level, and in the same condition except for normal wear. Additional charges may apply.
7. Late Returns
Late returns are charged per hour or full day. Unauthorized extensions may void insurance coverage.
8. Accidents, Damage & Theft
Report every incident immediately to Island Flo B.V. and local authorities, and submit a written report within 24 hours. A police report is mandatory in case of theft. Negligence may result in full liability.
9. Insurance
Basic insurance is included unless otherwise stated, and a deductible applies. Optional coverage may be available. Insurance becomes void when these Terms are violated, an unauthorized driver is involved, or the driver is under the influence.
10. Prohibited Use
Vehicles may not be taken outside Curaçao without written permission, driven on unpaved or off-road terrain unless approved, or driven by unauthorized drivers. Violations result in full liability.
11. Liability
Island Flo B.V. is not liable for loss of personal belongings, delays or service interruptions, or indirect or consequential damages. The renter is responsible for all fines, tolls, and violations.
12. Termination
Island Flo may terminate a rental agreement if these Terms are violated, the vehicle is misused, or fraud or unsafe behavior is suspected.
13. Governing Law & Amendments
These Terms are governed by the laws of Curaçao. Island Flo B.V. may update them at any time.
14. Acceptance
By renting a vehicle, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to these Terms.
